p.s. This is not in response to any particular posting. It's just some more RV trailer tire information.
Did that person with the failed 17.5 tire cause the problem themselves? If most ST failures are user issues, then what about this case? User must have ran it low on air, driven to fast, been overloaded or hit a road hazard? What else would cause a tire failure? The things I listed are the main failure causes, right? I think we need more details! Was it an OEM Sumitomo supplied by NuWa? Or a GY G114 that seem to maybe having similar issues to the G614's. I know a couple guys that had 4 or 5 G614 failures on their full time rig before upgrading to 17.5 rims and tires with NuWa's help!
The guy that weighs RV's at Rally's states that HHII tire failures were a failure to address left right weight inbalance in tire choice. When one builds a trailer to the standard of HHII they are heavy. So miss application of tires is more of a cause than tires themself.
Regarding ST tires on HHII trailers, I do not think many are actually going out the door with them. Almost all are built to consumer order. Chris
