Here is a company that works very closely with their customer base. They provide optional OE tires and help find solutions with their OE tires. But, they are still putting OE ST235/80R16E tires rated at 3520# @ 80 psi on 7000# axles. When going back into their historical postings you will find they have always skimped with their OE tires and suffered numerous failures with all OE tire designs. More currently you can find that they already have a poster reporting an early failure with a 17.5” tire.

p.s. This is not in response to any particular posting. It's just some more RV trailer tire information.
So what's the point? Just another case of a OE tire being the cheapest tire available. At least they give the consume the option of putting on a better tire. Unfortunately, most trailers are ordered by RV retailers and only order the stock wheels/tires. The customer doesn't find out about the ST junk until they have left the lot and that is too late.
Just because manufacturers put ST tires on their product does not imply they are the best option available. I only means they were from the lowest bidder and least expensive.
