What brand & style/model? Any and all information about these tires is appreciated. I would like to try these..
Pictures would be even better!
Pictures won't tell you anything about the tires reliability.
I don't know what brand LT tires winkyb has but Goodyear Wrangler HT has a LT235/75-15 C @1980 lb and a LT215/75-15 D @2080 lbs that have been popular for years with trailering folks.
Also Maxxis makes a very good U-168 Bravo commercial hiway series LT tire in a LT235/75-15 D @ 2335 lbs capacity. I see these are becomming popular on several haulers webs.
Not much in the way of 15" LT tire sizes left on the market with 1500 size trucks moving on up to 16"/17" for a base size wheel.
If you want to know why a tire failed, I think it depends on the picture.
This one is of little value to most people.

but to someone with experience and who knows where to look they will quickly find the proof the tire was run significantly underinflated as seen here.

The melted polyester is physical proof and it usually only takes me about 15 to 20 seconds to find as I have seen hundreds of similar examples.
So in this case the picture does not say anything about reliability but to many it would be misleading.
Failed tire analysis is not easy or a task for the inexperiensed.
