And, Chris, don't leave out those who work for a living. The Eagle Ford Shale boom where I am, the Bakken, the Marcellus, then, power plants, refineries, dams, defense projects and other big capital investments have plenty (thousands) of skilled workers -- craftsmen -- who use their RV's harder than any snowbird ever imagined. From where they park, to how long they may sit -- plus climate/terrain year-round -- an RV is a viable mobile home for many. Part and parcel of ones income, not just outgo. The pay appears high and, while there are some tax angles involved, nevertheless the expenses are not to be sniffed at. Tire businesses cannot keep up in some instances due to worn roads, unpaved roads, and severe loadings on all kinds of vehicles. RV tires don't travel too far in numerous instances prior to replacement. The problems we are going round with here get buried.
So, again, lack of information to people who need it. Not just the retired layabouts
