Well, darn near lost a tire last trip.

Got home from 150 mile round trip, averaged around 50 mph with 20 mile leg through the mountains of east tn. Took it slow and easy like I always do.
Anyhow, got home and began breaking down axles to service.
Took right front off, and glanced at right rear. Notice the tread surface of the right rear was severely rounded. In fact, enough so that I thought that it was very unusual. If surface of tread was 7" wide, probably only the center 3" of tread was able to touch the ground (if no weight on tire of course).
Then, I step back and see the blister. I said a few choice words and was thankful I made it home.
For what it's worth, I run a TPMS and there was no anomoly on either pressure or heat on this tire on the way home.
After I pulled it off (actually all of them), the tire was even worse inside. The inner rubber looked like it had come loose from the belt itself on the tread pattern. Basically large blisters 1/4 way around on the inside.
If you put just a bit of weight on the tire and rolled it, you could see it was actually loose about 90% of the way around the tire. It would blister where it made contact with the ground.
Before anyone asks, yes, these were made in China. Nanking, 225/75/15. D load at 2540# each. Manufactured December of 05.
Have never weighed my camper, but dry weight is 6250 with gross being 10,000 (not a typo). Axles are 5200# AL-Ko. Best guess on my weight is 7500#. I don't pack heavy nor do I carry water.
Anyhow, thought I would share. I figure this is classic broken belt or belt separation.
New set of Maxxis put on yesterday. Born in January of this year.
