I think it would be wise to reference tire size when reporting failure statistics of ST vs LT tires. It is well known that significantly more ST tires have failed in the Load Range E (3,000-3500 lb) environment than lower weight ranges. The excessive number of failures reported here on RV.net are undeniable. Government statistics are useful only if all failures have been reported, which they haven't. About the only government data that we can come close to trusting is the US census every 10 years and that is very suspect IMHO.
