It's still soaking up Chula Vista fluorescent lighting at the UPS Store. My guess is the BiPolar transistor control circuit fried. If so the varnish on the inductors should have become darker and the transistors passed into semiconductor heaven. If the electrolytics assumed the shape of a coke bottle, and the full wave bridge rectifier looks like a porcupine it means an extensive rebuild job.
