Rewiring Slide

I've installed solar and a new battery bank in my TT. Everything works except the slide. The slide still needs the stock battery in the front of the trailer. I cannot find where to tie into this circuit. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

  • There is still a main battery cable to the old battery spot right?
That should easily power the slide. Just connect them with a 40 or 50 amp fuse.
  • It is not wired through the power center.

I would have to run those wires the length of the trailer to the new battery bank, and I really don't want to start cutting holes in the trailer to run the wires. I was hoping there was an easier way to tie into the system.

  • my jayco slide was powered
through a 25 amp circuit breaker that was in the 12 volt fuse side of the power center.
  • I have a separate 615 ah battery bank I installed myself, but the slide seems to have its own independent circuit that runs to the stock battery on the tongue. I no longer wish to use that battery, but I can't seem to find where to tie into the slide wiring.
