Is the controller connected directly to the battery, or tapped in to existing wire in a convenient place? If connected at the battery toroid are worth a try.
Does the rfi go away with the antenna disconnected? If yes, you are dealing with radiated interference. If no, probably through the DC. Try a different power supply to your ham radio. If the rfi goes away, you know where to look.
First guess is the controller isn't connected directly at the battery. The battery is a whopping big capacitor for noise. If it is antenna induced, use a portable set, with rf attenuator, to "sniff" the most likely cause. Could be the control itself or leads to the battery. At least you'll have a hint where to look.
