I suspect it is the BUCK BOOST method of regulation in the solar controller. I also get the same type of noise from some of the higher priced regulated type LED boards... Never could solve the LED board RFI noise. Eventually replaced the LED boards with non-regulating type circuit.
Be sure to post what progress you are making. I am just now getting interested in playing some with solar panels.
Now I will have three things that will produce RFI being the LED Boards, the Inverters, and now the Solar Controller... geeesch 40meters is my worse band to use for the Inverter and 2meters and up for the LED boards.
I think Camperpaul is the only one that has been able to solder CHIP CAPACITORS on the ends of bulb connectors to eliminated RFI with the LED Boards..
No way my fat fingers would allow me to solder in some 1/8-inch size CHIP CAPACITORS...
