It must be the hot side since I did try and ground to the truck body which didn't help. Think I will see if my trailer light plug is wired for backup lights and pull power from there if it is. I don't think the lights are LED plus I don't even have the bulb connected at this point. Geez an easy project that turned into a pain since I ended up pulling the RCA cable from under the truck and the monitor wiring harness to check all the wires so now I have to wire the hole thing again but before I do I will make sure I have a good pic.
