It's a good idea to hook up a scope (perhaps on ac setting) to the output. Any difference in waveform when holding the pot?
How about using individually shielded twin conductor cable with a braided sheath to minimize the error amp sensitivity? The braided sheath of course being connected to earth ground within the device...
Uh, yeah, who is buying this double shielded individual twin conductor cable, and would you send me a 12" sample, por favor? As a power supply for a ham radio, OK, I admit the design may have been compromised, but as a battery charger?
