If I had a router gizmo thingee I could custom form some 2X4's across the roof, but methinks such a woodworking tool is beyond budget and in an different universe skill-wise. Wood-butcher is far too kind of label for my wood aptitude.
Celso can also made gussets to reinforce corners. Like maybe fifty of them, all TIG welded to the frame. If I am forced to have made up center feet that bolt to the centerline of the roof so be it. I drive so slow, that wind-wrench-torque would not be an issue. I am not happy with the three-bricks short of a load length of the rack however. I need to muse this further. Chicken-vs-egg dilemma.
