Send the SERIES 48 volts down the line, as long distance as feasible, the bucking then using a controller that would be smoked by 48 - 60 volts. just keep an eye on I potential, amperage during cloud edging so it does not over-volt or over amp the bucker.
High voltage MPPT controllers are expensive. Four 600 watt buckers on a larger system is cheaper. Ten amps X 4 X 48 volts is a lot of power.
