- HiTechExplorerI think the directions for most of the roofs I have had mention a cleaner - mayb spic-n-span?
Jim - ksg5000ExplorerOnce a year I will put a bar of Lava Soap in a heavy sock and hand scrub the roof - does a nice job of removing black spots and gives me a close look at the roof which helps me locate problem areas.
- harold1946ExplorerI use Murphys Oil Soap, a medium soft long handled scrub brush, and a power washer.
- craig7hNomad III have been using simple green with soft brush. Work hard and use a lot of water. Make sure you rinse off side of camper once done with roof.
- Tom_BarbExplorerI use a general purpose detergent and a scrub brush. and lots of water and elbow grease.
- BFL13Explorer IIUse a mop to get the worst off, then use bleach (allowed for rubber roof) to get the black spots off. Spray 100% laundry bleach in an area, let it turn yellow and the black spots turn grey, mop that, hose it down, move to a new area to spray. Repeat if the black spots don't go away completely. Takes a while but it works great.
Hose off the sides of the rig after too in case the bleach bothers the decals. Not seen a problem there myself, but it is a standard warning, so included here :)
