Roof repair

Last week my trailer tipped to the left on a graded road and the roof hit a tree (at least that's the story I'm going with). I inspected the roof and noticed a 4 foot section of the radius piece that connects the wall to the roof had come loose under the roof membrane. It appears the manufacturer used large staple to attach the metal radius to the wood panel roof. My question is this, could I just use a short truss head screw right through the membrane to reattach the radius and cover all with 4" eternabond tape. Sounds great in theory but would like some input from those more in the know than me.

  • Dicor works if you don't have the Eternabond.

I've done similar repair on a neighbor's 5W. He also had some damaged rubber, so overlaid a piece of EPDM a bit larger than the damage and sealed the patch and screws with Dicor.
  • That does sound good in theory but it's hard to say without pics but you sound like you know what your doing.
As long as your method secures everything and makes it water tight with Eternabond I would think your good to go.
