do you mean, you need to try and control the humidity while parked in the south, the humidity is higher in the summer than in the winter
i don't understand how a wall stat will control the humidity any better than the one on the roof unit
either the compressor is running or it isn't, the location of the stat will not affect the humidity level
IF the A/C can not remove enough humidity from the air, then you will need to get a de-humidefier to do so

Thanks Dougrainer, Yes it is a roof top unit. I'm trying to see if I can wire in a remote Thermostat on the wall to control the air conditioner. Do you know if I can install a 110 thermostat that turns the unit on and off and leave the cool control set in the coldest position? We are traveling to the South and need to control the humidity in the trailer.
