Roof top airconditioner

Does anyone know if a Airxcel Series 48000 air conditioner can be converted to being controlled with a thermostat? Currently the unit is either on or off. If a thermostat can be installed what are the requirements for the thermostat?

    I don't know the answer, but if you contact RVP (Airxcel) they will likely be able to answer your question. I emailed them on a replacement part number and received a thorough answer within 24 hrs. In my book that is good service in the RV industry!

    A new upper control board for the model wall tstat AND the wall tstat and then you run the tstat wire harness(6 or 8 wire tstat wire). Your AC should have a tstat already, but I guess you have roof mount controls(knobs) and want the Fan to shut off when the compressor shuts off. The roof top multiplug will fit the RVP control board.
