Roof Vent Type (brand) on Winnebago/Itasca

Job done via just ordering the parts I needed vs having to buy an entire unit (for either parts pillage or total replacement).

On my '15 Class-C Itasca-Winnebago I can confirm the following:

The roof vents are Jensen 69824 style units.

The crank assy, (operator), I got from Amazon was a: "Heng's JRP1000R-C Metal" Cost on that was: $9.13

The replacement lid I used, also ordered from Amazon was a: "Wadoy RV Camper Vent Cover/Lid Fits for 14" x 14" Jensen Metal Roof Vents". Cost: $14.99

Both the above items worked together no issues. The lid does 'feel' a little cheap to me but the fitment was spot-on. This particular lid is protected under a MaxxAir vent shade so it should be fine in regards to durability.

Total cumulative time on this job was about an hour (getting tools out / put away, getting up & down of the roof a few times etc). The hardest part was finding the lid type that was on my coach, after that it was pretty straight forward fixing things.

Appreciate everyone's input helping me on this small job & giving me some new resources to put to bear on future ones. ;)

ETA: Potential 'Pro Tip': If you have young/rowdy kids & a Class C it might be a good idea to remove the roof vent crank handle so they can't mess with & break it. I'd lay $$s that's what happened to the one I just had to fix.

Once again guys, I appreciate you all's experience & expertise with this seemingly easy issue (butisn't so cut & dry).

I have parts coming tonight that I have my fingers crossed in hopes I can do some individual swapping of parts rather than having to do a full-blown vent assembly reinstall.

We just replaced 2 vents on our Itasca. Had to order from Winnebago because they do their own vent and the hole in the roof is slightly larger than normal. Their vent is slightly larger to fit the hole. Normal vent we purchased from RV supply didn't fit. Too small. Also, the vent came with NO holes drilled for install so I had to drill all before installing. Be sure and use putty under vent, then cover with your favorite self leveling sealant after you are done. Have fun. We ordered the vents from from Winnebago Parts.

I have the owner's manual & supplemental owner's manual but with the MOUNTAIN of info in those I didn't see anything on the roof vents. If however, I want to learn how to use a TV remote or how to boil water in the microwave they tell me how to do that:(

I tried to get some info off the winne parts website but what I ended up fishing around in wasn't resonating with the way my eyeballs & brain work (that & one of the 'viewers' didn't want to play nice with Apple stuff).

The assembly on mine is in fact a Jensen #69824 (post '94 type) with 3 hinge points that are molded into the plastic lid itself & a strut arm that screws (or pop rivets) into the lid.

Still find it funny that Winnebego is putting these Jensen style vents on their stuff & yet they don't really pop up readily when Google searching (at least compared to many other brands).

Now I have my fingers'crossed the crank mechanism is the right one to go with.
