yes it is, I have it installed. I had to add the bluetooth dongle separately though so that was an extra expense. I think it's more useful being able to monitor it from the app. I often check how my panels are putting out from my lawn chair outside, I probably wouldn't look if I had to go inside. It's cool to watch the sun come out from behind the clouds and see the amps jump up... I guess I'm easily entertained.
