Ruining An In Tank Electric Fuel Pump?
Well, I find it hard to believe... Prolonged exposure to air instead of "cooling gasoline" will cause the pump to overheat. Yet I read a long winded thread that had several "professionals" swear...

I don't know about a gas engine but in a diesel, it actually causes the fuel in the tank to be warmer, not cooler.
