In interesting thread. After spending a ton of money because of a lift pump failure on our diesel 5.9, I now have a system that if it fails I can just unscrew failed pump and screw in back up pump, but that is diesel.
I've been in the planning stages (and currently stuck on ideas) for a back up system for a small class C. To me gas seems harder than diesel to work out the plumbing and sucking process.
Does anybody know if when a gas pump fails you are able to still suck fuel (with a different pump) that would be hooked up in fuel line?
