Running A/C on Generator

I have a 2011 Winnebago Sightseer 31E.

When I am on Generator power I can run the front A/C but not the back.

I thought that maybe the energy management system would not allow both A/C units to run at the same time but even when I turn the front a/c off the back will not run on generator.

Does anyone know if this is normal or can someone point in the direction of information?

Help is greatly appreciated

  • Two possibilities come to mind
1..you have to change some settings on the EMS
2..There is a hidden switch you have to use to select where the rear a/c. gets it's power from
  • The rear a/c runs on shore power just not the generator.

I will check the breakers on the generator

    Thanks,
  • If the genny is large enough it should run both. There should be two breakers on the generator. Both have to be in the on position to run both ACs.
Also check the breakers in the main distribution panel. there should be a seperate breaker for each AC.
