It's interesting that while there is a small drain when the fridge is switched to propane, there is a greater draw when the fridge is left on AUTO while running off propane. My EU2000 generator started tripping the overload circuit breaker when I turned the microwave on and I would not figure out why until I learned on this forum not to leave the fridge set to Auto when using propane. I switched it over to "gas" and no more Honda breaker-tripping. So my take away is it draws much more DC power in the Auto mode.

    Yes. Mine also - 0.3a

  • Good question. To put it in simple terms very little. Not enough to notice
  • My trailer idles at 1/2 amp running the fridge, detector, radio memory.

200 watts of solar will handle the fridge on propane and a bit more.
  • My Norcold 8cuft uses approx. 15 AH in 24 hrs at ambient 80F. (The burner sprayer uses 0.5 amps DC when "on" which is about 2/3 to 3/4 of the time.
  • Some. All but the smallest RV refers consume a small amount of 12VDC power as control voltage. There should be a tag on your refer that indicates exactly how much.
