My fridge is on AC at the house and I do cover it with an ADCO cover.
You will have a marginal refer. The refers NEED ventilation regardless of 120 or LP. This topic comes up a few times a year.
1. If on 120, you do not have to be level--WRONG! ALL RV absorbsion refers must be level regardless of LP or 120
2. Ventilation is a MUST. If the roof top vent is covered or the side vent(installed in a slide out), then the refer will be ruined in less than 48 hours. It is called "baking" a cooling unit, when the ventilation is blocked off.
3. SAME thing if you try to run the Roof AC unit. Do you think the roof AC unit will operate correctly with a cover over the whole RV? Then why would you think the refer is not affected too? Of course the odds are the roof AC will not be ruined, it will just kick the overload on the compressor or the 20 amp breaker. But it WILL ruin your Refer. Doug
