Sounds reasonable to have 50a for when/if you need it/could use it if it is an option. AFAIK if you then don't like to fight with the heavy cord, you could put a 50/30 adapter at the rig connection and use a 30a cord that is easier to handle.
We have a 30a, but hardly ever get to use even that. Most places we ever have shore power (fairgrounds) or at a house, there is only 15a. When just camping we are normally off-grid.
But if we were buying a new trailer for all that money, IMO 50a would be the way to go
BTW on 15a with the "pedestal" circuit breaker miles away in some mystery location we do what PT does. Run the 120 stuff on inverter same as off-grid and just run the converter on the shore power
