Another question to throw in the mix;
Who has the largest solar array? How large a battery bank? Be nice to have some comments on someone that installed LARGE system. Pros/cons, what they would have done if given the oppertunity/money to do it all over again.
When your batteries are charged, what could be done with the electricty from the panels? I have hed of heating hot water in the HWH. How about sending excess power to a hydrogen generator! LOL

I don't use my solor electric for anything special, other than just living off the grid.
Sounds like you are doing a great job and getting a lot of a good information and other, that really only works for weekenders. Be sure to weigh the difference.
