Tilting the panels sounds like such a great idea - I read that the average person tilts the panels 7 times.
7 times a day? This is more than most people would be willing to do. We are products of modern civilization, lazy and inflexible. Even once a day is too much, because you in fact have to climb the roof twice during your stay at particular camp - to put them up and lower them down. With OP planned 4 big panels this is a bit of work.
OP - as others noted, tilting is for when you can't get enough. Some time ago panels were $6 per Watt, and people couldn't afford more than 200W, so they had to tilt. Now it costs $0.7/W. Get enough panels and forget about tilting. Solar is a limited supply of energy, which means you need to store it when you have an excess, AND use it sparingly. With 1,000W solar, A/C is (almost) out of the question, but this is more than enough for all other needs - excluding situations like severe snow storm that lasts more than a week. If 1,000W is not enough - then you need to adjust your energy habits so that it will be enough. Because this is realistic, 1,000W is plenty.
The only other alternative is tilt, or a generator.
