I have a much simpler version of that device.. I will describe.
First: I DO NOT have an Energy Manger (Load shedding type) so the wire goes direct from ONE circuit breaker to the A/C. (And from another to the other A/C)
At least that is the factory hookup.
Using 12ga wire (20 amp rated) for the 13.5 amp A/Cs. I found the lead to the REAR A/C.. And disconnected it from the power panel.. All 3 wires.
I then ran a brand new 12ga from the power panel, using the original breaker, to the outside of the RV where there is an outlet. This can be in most any non-wet basement compartment if you like.
I then ran a 12ga cord back to the back of the power panel where a Junction Box connects the new wire to the original.
IDEALLY (I did not do this) i would have put a 20 amp breaker in this final new line... I choose to trust the park's 20 amp breaker.
How it works
Plug A/C cord into outlet... Original setup
Unplug and using a 12ga Cord from Sears or K-mart with the push button on the outelt end.. Modified Rear A/C now runs on park 20
Side benefit.. Need air compressor on Driver's side.. I've an outlet.
