Sounds like you have a "troubled installation" whatever that means. Slide physically damaged on one side? Jamming physically?
You didn't say but does the other motor work correctly?
I don't think my controllers click when engaging. I know there are relays but I've never heard them.
Thanks for pointing this out. I checked all the measurements between the steel upright and the rails and all were within the 2 3/8s to 2 5/8s inch that was in the installation instructions. As far as the click, I am totally deaf but my neighbor who is young and a tech has good hearing and that is what he told me.
