Very true. Petroleum based o-rings are forbidden for use in pure oxygen systems. Under the right condition you can turn a valve, pipe union, etc into a grenade. Petroleum, oxygen and pressure. BANG. Goes off like the cylinder in a deisel engine. Even if the tire doesn't catch on fire you can have a more violent blow out.
