I haven’t tried heat yet because I wasn’t sure it would be ok with the fiberglass clear coat. I will try it today and see what happens. Thanks for the tips guys
If the caulk is just dirty, I would clean it. Try strong soap, mineral spirits and alcohol. You can top coat with a thin layer of dicor or other sealant. I would avoid heat and sharp blades. Either could do some serious damage. It is likely that the filon is bonded to lauan or another substrate. The last thing you want to risk is delamination.
