3/8" Drive 100 Tooth Round Swivel Head Ratchet

Only $50.00/Hr mechanics can afford this on time which is part of the inflated bubble. I have a 3/8" drive Wi-Ha swivel ratchet that has never EVER stripped gears. I have a pair of Snap-Off ratchets both with stripped gears. Jesus just used the WiHa to break loose the front hubs on his Toyota using a two foot long cheater pipe. The Wiha laughed at it, the one remaining BRAND NEW UNUSED Snap-Off stripped with "Less than half the pressure" he reported.
Just about every expensive thing I own is Mil-Spec. For a reason. The Kubota is Japanese military painted flat beige. The Kato generator is Mil-Spec USA painted OD. The SOLA line tamer is painted crinkle finish gray. With yellow stencil markings.
All can be compared to CONSUMER QUALITY goods of the 1950's and sixties.

Mex, I own that ratchet and many more. I'm not trying to defend it on price, only on function. That is not your go to daily driver ratchet, which would probably be an 88 tooth which can handle a lot more torque. The more teeth it has, usually the less torque it can handle. The 100 tooth really shines when you have a very tight swing clearance, then it only needs 3.5 degrees of movement to get the nut moving. Yea, it takes a long time but it works. The 360 degree head swivel movement can come in real handy at times. What I see is mechanics own too many ratchets, and not enough breaker bars. Then you need to lube the guts in the ratchets once a year. Most don't do it, including me. Snap-On's expensive, but I'm retired now and putting some of my Snap-On on ebay, and I am getting a good bit of money for it. The most valuable ratchet is a flex head(wrist action). That's the best daily driver I think.
