Sorry and apologies profound. My response was overreaction consummate.
This is how sensitive (embarrassed) I am about a lifetime of achievement only to end up on the bottom 1% of society. It damned well hurts. When I started a family here it was my intention to maximize my income in the USA and then live my retirement in Mexico.
Thank you for your offer of living in Florida. But what I need more than anything else is life-or-death guarantees that I would not have the rug pulled out from under me. Someone's death, an argument, worsening health. There are no shock absorbers when a person is this vulnerable. None. Zero.
I could share information and remain secure. People in wheelchairs do not do so hot north of the border. I can remain standing for perhaps 2 minutes. Enough to get to the car, enough to get to an electric cart in a grocery store, and then back home. My housekeeper unloads groceries purchased the same day she housekeeps. The paranoia about opioids prevents me from walking. I have taken zero in seven years so don't get me started. Mexico has ZERO legal narcotic pain relievers.
Anyway I function. I build stuff. I just got through ordering discrete transistors through Texas instruments in Texas rather than VISHAY.
The sickness about rent cost extends down here to Mexico. My landlady told me "No way will I ever raise your rent". She means and meant it. Rent for mall space in the USA rent for apartments, shops, everything, is far far far above the depreciation of the value of the dollar and burden of volatile overhead.

All the California stupidity is going to explode due to proposition 13 being undone after 40 years and it is going to happen. This could lead to a USA recession bordering on depression. Count on it.
Mexico has warts the size of pineapples. But the best way to cure a wart is to treat it and not machine gun the population. If you could see the percentage of people down here who idolize Americans and show it openly -- it would break your heart. Thousands protested openly and vigorously against the arrival of the caravistas, but the left and right new media in the USA exploited polarized extremes.
Mexicans tolerate MABE brand made in Mexico appliances, moan about new USA brand ed made in Mexico cars, covet made in USA tools, Pendleton Shirts, Woolrich, Levis, on and on.
When analyzing a company, get off your butt, examine the product or company IN PERSON, analyze what you see, then look at the books, overhead. Look to see if it has owners worthy of drug dealer grade percentage of profits. Wal-Mart employees make absolute minimum income. Same with Home Depot. Same with Harbor Freight.
