Sears? Heads Up

Excerpt cut n Paste

To help raise cash for that future, Sears announced on Tuesday that it was looking to split off its Lands’ End and Sears Auto Center brands, two of the company’s best-known assets. It also said that Sears Canada, which it controls, had sold five store leases for $384 million.

Answer your own question Skip....How many Craftsman tools are in your RV, how many RVers use Craftsman tools to fix their RV, how many RVers have sears brand products in or on their TV or toad??? You see why it is very RV related.
  • Sad.....They've already announced the closing of the auto center here in Bismarck.

Sears had an integral part in the development of the Mid-West. The Sear's catalog was the only place you could buy things if you lived in rural America. Heck, you could even buy a house - there are many of them here in NDak. I can remember coming to town and stopping at the Bismarck Sears store to see what was new.

Now their's 3 Walmarts, a Sam's Club and many big-box stores. I wish our children and grandchildren could have the opportunity to experience the simpler up bring that my wife and I did.

Sure- once all the stores close, we can overnight for free in the empty lots! ;)
  • Sears will be gone over the next 2-3 years and the Craftsman trademark, now owned by K-Mart, will become the main brand for K-Mart ... Just do a search of Sears stores closed over the last 2-3 years and you will see the pattern emerging.
