Sears? Heads Up

Craftsman tools aren't what they use to be. You can take it back and get a replacement, if you can find a Sears store. I have a lot of Craftsman hand tools but just too many failures with anything purchased within the last 10 years. No more, there are better options out there.

I used to buy alot from Sears, then one day i bought a new fridge, 2 sets of washer and dryers and the commission only sales person lied to me about when they would be delivered. Ok i can get over that but then one set of washer/dryer shows up with only one pedestal and its the wrong color. So i go to Sears and ask when this will be taken care of and the sales person is going to order the same wrong color, wont tell me when it will be taken care of so i talk to manager. No help there either. I call corporate, they say they will make it happen and the guy i am talking to asks for my number in case we get disconnected of which a few minutes later happens, does he call me back ? No. I go to Sears and tell them to come load everything up and get it out of there and havent been back.

WOW, memories are made of this. Nothing lasts forever.

Hmmm...Now that I think about it, yes, Sears was my first plastic and it was for Craftsman tools.

Brother went on about the great tire sale coming up on Goodyear tires a week from Friday.
I think I would rather buy from a company that will be around for service.
Will be at America's Tire instead.

My first Credit Card was from Sears. I applied for it in order to buy a crankshaft for my 1950 Chevy. In my early adult life, almost everything I owned was from Sears.

I remember in about 1957 buying an "Allstate" Scooter AKA "Vespa" for $329.00 on Sears credit (cosigned by my father). Did a morning paper route before school, delivered rx drugs and groceries at noon. Then after school it was an evening paper route, delivered rx drugs and groceries til 6pm. Then looked after the corner store from 6 to 9PM. Thanks for the credit and memories Mr Sears.

I enlisted in the Navy in 1960. Later when my wife and I married and the Navy was sending us all over the country we always bought Sears Appliances.

Why?

You could get Sears Appliance Service or parts anywhere!

all the other appliance brands caught up many years ago.

You bring back memories, my first Credit Card was with Montgomery Wards but Sears CC was next. I have always been a "Sear's sucker", Craftsman tools, Kenmore washers and dryers, First living room set and I used to love there Popcorn. But they have gone down hill a little bit lately. I wish them luck.
