I used a similar product called
EPDM roof sealant - only because found it cheaper than Dicor. Beads don't flow into one another. Had to use a putty knife to spread it and make a continuous "puddle". It is pretty thick out of the tube, and judging by the look of the original Dicor on my roof I doubt that the name "self-leveling" is justified for any sealant that thick.
Yes, you have to apply it when it's warm - but not hot - and spread it quickly before it skins over itself. It is unlikely that factory workers are that careful. Being paranoid, I did "touch-up" caulking with "wet finger trick" around the bead edges where next morning it still looked like not adhering fully to the roof.
