Read an article that the new Menards being built in my town will have a self serve LPG filling island in the parking lot. The article described it as if you will connect and fill your own cylinders.
Ever see one? I haven't.
How about a link to that article?
Per Menards Wesites
Menards® is your one-stop shop for all outdoor get-togethers!
In addition to a variety of grilling supplies, you can also pick up the propane you need for your gas-powered grill. Menards® stores offer either a Propane Fueling Station or a Self-Serve Propane Kiosk, making it easy for you to fill up your tank. Visit one of our stores with a Propane Fueling Station, and one of our friendly Team Members will fill up your tank for you. If your local Menards® store doesn't have a Propane Fueling Station, it will have a Self-Serve Propane Kiosk located in front of the store. This quick and easy-to-use machine allows you to get the propane you need, anytime you need it!
I'll bet the self serve kiosk is a cylinder swap. And every one I've seen only has 5 gallon tanks, and they do NOT fill to th 80 percent level. read the fine print. they fill to around 70 percent. and the cylinder you get could end up being near the expiration date.
Only good use I've found of the exchange is if your cylinder is expired. swap it for one that still has years to go.
