RV solar is definitely more of a lifestyle choice than a having a good return on investment. Other changes are likely to maximize boondocking/dry camping duration. Like swapping out the furnace for a Propex Heatsource furnace, adding a Plat Cat vented heater to take the edge off when the furnace is not necessary, on top of having enough battery bank and solar to match power needs. All of these things are expensive, but allow one to live in their RV a certain way.
