Sorry to say it that bluntly. But without some weights your shooting in the dark. But even at the best of circumstances at 39 feet long that fiver could weigh way more that your Ford is rated for and pin weight could be way north of your load carrying capacity.

X3 and well put.
You need a lot more truck.

Your pin weight will be way too high for 3/4 ton. People overload all the time but I wouldn't overload that much personally.

This from one that tows over GVWR.
Without the 5er weights and a weight of the TV, yes should have gotten the 350.
Without weights, that 5er could be 14,000 GVWR or 19,000# or more. This means that not only will you be exceeding the 250's 10,000# likely, would exceed the rear GAWR and stock tire ratings. It could be too much for a 350 SRW.

Can you post the make and model of the 5er.

You aren't giving any FW weights, GVWR, pin wt, just length. This 250/350 thing comes up all the time. Yes, the 350 is the better choice, due to heavier spring pack. The 250 can handle the same as 350 SRW, in most cases, but may need suspension enhancement.

Welcome to the Forum...unfortunately you have not gotten off to a great start.
You said you are getting, "conflicting advice," about if you have enough truck..If the advice you are hearing is that you need more truck, that is good advice.

Solice: many of us have done the exact same thing, at least I did. The dealer told us we could pull it no problem and we had not done our research....

Do you presently any idea of your truck's payload capacity or your RV's overall and pin weights?

We did the same thing first time out. Had bought a brand new F250 6.7 that could "pull anything we wanted". Then found a 38 ft Montana. Two trips out it was obvious in handling and scales that it was over limits, but the dealer was right - it would pull anything. After much angst and deliberation, traded the '15 F250 for a '16 F350 DRW. Now we full time and have never regretted the decision.
