Do you have the inverter? Post the make and model.
What battery are you getting specifically? 12 volt?
Have you chosen a charger for the battery? Possibly you can use existing converter or an upgrade.
Any solar in the plans?
Assuming the battery is 12 volt you would connect it similar to existing to power the RV.
The inverter is one I have specced myself out of China. I am an engineer by trade but you wouldn't know it by my stupid questions :) . I always figure its better to ask the stupid questions before actually doing something stupid.
The inverter is 12 volt DC to 60Hz 120V AC. It is 3000 watt with the ability to output up to 9000 watts for ~15 seconds. The inverter is similar to the Aims 3000W inverter/charger in some ways but not exactly. The manufacturer has agreed to work with me on my requirements and I am currently in production.
The charger is also one i have specced (it is adjustable). I can dial in the charging to exactly what the battery manufacturer requires. I don't plan to have things like equalize or the like but I can add it if I wanted to through firmware. It will probably output ~60Amp max.
I am planning on solar using the Tracer MPPT controller (it has user adjustable settings which is a plus).
The batteries I will build myself from prismatic cells hitting ~100-120AH @ 12V. I'll be using a pre-built BMS of some kind (Haven't decided).
