I recommend verifying after installation that your charging agrees with the manufacturer of the battery product. And that the battery built-in overdischarge protection works exactly as specified by the battery manufacturer.
Yes sir, the weather in CA as a whole is pretty close to perfect in most places.
I planned a layered approach to protecting the batteries. The BMS will protect the batteries at ring 0, with a voltage regulator circuit up-line at ring 1, and then the charger cut-offs built into the charger. Between those three I should be able to avoid most massive failures.
