You have a generator to use while you run for parts.
I would call it what it is not try to duplicate everything just in case.
Many solar controllers can charge 12, 24 or 48 volt batteries. Inverter and batteries I think you would be better served with duplicate systems over swapping from 12 to 48 volts and back.
48-12 DC/DC converter is easy to run accessories.
I would be skeptical of the reliability of a random China 12-3000 inverter unless max draw is 1500 watts. I recommend GoPower, Magnum or Victron inverter. Over 2000 watts I would go up in voltage.
I am having the charger manufactured. I am not using anything off the shelf. I will assemble it myself, but I sent the boards out to China. I would not trust something advertised as 3000 watt if I didn't know each and every component myself. This is a complete geek decision simply because I want to build it myself for fun, no other reason than that. The manufacturer I have chosen is one of the best board manufacturers in the world and I have done commercial business with them in the past. This is not the cheapest route by any sense, but I will teach myself a ton as I go.
I am going to re-look at the 48 volt option, it might make sense at this point. I have room in the shell of the inverter to probably add a step down module and isolate it properly. If not I can use an external.
