Any good quality cell from Panasonic (Tesla), LG, Sanyo or Samsung, charged to 50% should have roughly 10 year shelf life. Try that with a lead acid.

So true
I feel like I'm half charged and I know damned well I won't have a 10 year shelf life -- but it's gonna be rough all right...
