Ok, DW and I went out for a last minute day trip in the MH. All boondocking. Bank was only down 14Ah total. Got home, adjusted MegaWatt to 14.7V (it tends to rise a tenth) and let her rip. Amps went up to 36.4 and hung out there for a few minutes then tapered to 29. No weird noises or other signs of protest.
This pretty much matches what I saw when the temps I was charging up at were in the 80's to 90's F. For some reason, firing up the Mega Watt S350-12 in 17F temps really ramped the amps up briefly to 40 amps. It was coming down about an amp a second or two in the first 10 to 15 seconds and locks on and steadies at 29 amps.
This was on a single T-1275, don't know if a C5 charge rate is hard on this battery, Mexwan has suggested that it's best to not whomp on the amp charge rate too hard on this battery, due to it's construction and poor acid to plate ratio, due to it's shape and size.
