I like the VEC1093DBD because it does its Equalization in automatic so it can be left to do its thing overnight while sleeping. Unfortunately, it does not do Mex's regime of constant amps, but lets amps taper.
Manual chargers that will do Equalizing with constant amps and all that neat stuff require you to be there and keep track so you can shut it all down before it goes "too far"
Somehow, despite not doing Mex's regime, the VEC1093DBD does my 6s just fine to "baseline SG" However, it does not get my used T-1275s equalized. I don't know if anything could equalize those things. I did get them above 16v and all I got was a bunch of black fluid in the hydrometer, so I have not tried that again! :( the T-1275s are doing ok despite their SGs being all over the map , but at least all "in the green"
So I prefer being able to do my Equalization without having to be there on top of things on an "it works for me basis."
