What happens so bad if the T-105s only last five years instead of ten because you don't have the perfect charger for them?
Say they cost $150 each so $300 the pair. Five years is $60/yr and ten years is $30/yr, so you save $30 each year by lasting the extra five years.
To do that $30/yr saving you buy a $300 Xantrex up front. Now you are out $600 and your ten year cost is now $60/yr same as the five years.
The VEC is $150 so you still get the ten years but now at $45/yr. Plus the VEC is handy for other jobs like when your car won't start.
