It certainly would get annoying and would be a deal breaker for me. I emailed Xantrex and asked them if it ran all the time and they replied:
"It;s Temperature controlled and run only to cool down the charger.
it means that the Fan does;t need to run all the time .
Please contact us if more assistant is needed." (typos theirs)
So this may not be an issue.
