I don't know where you are headed. However this site may help you find inexpensive and free campgrounds.
I would not bother with anything other than the extra charger you already own given the time frame before the trip. Just spend 48 hours in a (sometimes free) shore power situation once every two weeks.
You have the generator, so use it.

The "normal" line on this graph is at 13.6 volts which is exactly what may be expected from the existing converter.
