I contacted boatandrv, explaining I needed a pm3 that bench tested at the published 13.6v, not 14.6 for 15min. Their reply was "everyone gets the same pm3", lol.
But they did say to send it back... no problems. Of course. I'll burn for $100 in shipping by the time I return it, so it's been sitting, packed in its original shipping box for what, a week or two, while I reconsider whether it still has a place in my charging line up.
I'm thinking it may be best to keep it around for if and when I need to charge the 430 bank quickly, from say 50%. I'm hoping that will be rarely, as I would much prefer to not discharge the bank to less than 75% or so. (~ -107Ah's). The 15 min thing is only an issue at about 75-80%, IIRC?
I think I will put together a case for returning the pm4b, though. Then I'll have a 20a, 40a, 60a, and 75a to work with.
Oh, and solar, of course!
